Interpreter Case Conference and Peer to Peer Support
PALS for Health case conferences serve as a safe, confidential and empowering forum for interpreters to share with their peers any concerns, challenges, and highlights while interpreting. Interpreters that have attended these meetings in the past have expressed that they had benefited from the emotional support and professional development offered from the case conferences. Case conferences are also designed to support the well being of interpreters and to combat burnout and depression. This confidential forum is open to all health care interpreters regardless of their affiliation with the PALS for Health program. As the participation size of each case conference is limited and meals are provided, interpreters are required to RSVP. Please call Tina Vasinamakin at (213) 553-1818 or e-mail her at tinav@palsforhealth.org.
