Translation Services
PALS for Health program offers quality written translation services at a highly competitive rate.
- Introduction
- Translation
The PALS for Health program offers quality written translation services at a competitive rate. We implement a three-tier process for each document undergoing translation. A primary translator translates the document from English into the target language, while a secondary translator (also known as the reviewer) reviews the completed translation. We employ this process to ensure that the document is translated in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner through the collaboration of two experts. Finally, at the request of the client, the translated document can also be typeset into an appropriate format.
The complete process of translating, reviewing, and typesetting, on average, takes 2-6 weeks, although we are able to accommodate a shorter turn-around time upon request. The cost for each translation project will vary depending on the complexity of the language, format design and if it requires a quick turn-around time.
All of PALS for Health’s translators are well-respected community leaders with diverse professional backgrounds, including business, education, law, health and social services. Each translator’s bilingual verbal and written fluencies are assessed through a thorough and intensive screening process. (Please visit our Language Proficiency Evaluation for more information). In addition to our intensive screening process, all translators must complete our in-house 8-hour translation training (link to Training-Translation). As strong supporter of continuing education (link to CE) and in ensuring that our translators have the most up-to-date information on translation skills and health topics, all PALS for Health’s translators are required to attend at minimum 2 translator’s refresher course annually.
