To help translator enhance their translation skills, PALS for Health offer one-day, 8-hour, comprehensive translation training. Historically, the 8-hour translator training, which is not language-specific, covers the process of translation, skills and resources for a new translator. Training graduates are then invited to participate in an exercise with a language-specific translation coach, who reviews and provides feedbacks on the translation product. Technique and style will be discussed and coaches will work with the participate one-one-one to identify areas that need improvement and practical guidance on how to enhance those areas. Producing a translation product within a culturally competent framework is also a topic that is addressed through out the training process. Please visit our Events page for information on upcoming translation training.
